I wanna be your dog.

I'll lie down in your feet like a stray dog
begging
with my head on your lap.
I'll let you pet me
and I'll be tame; or wild; or anything you desire.
I'll let you take me to your home
or somewhere else 
because I don't have a home without you.
and you'll sit there on your bed
calm, staring at this stray dog in your feet
'how did you even come here?', you ask
I whimper let me stay,
let me be your dog.
